Trust Your Intuition. Listen to the Sparks

Your BIG LIFE doesn’t start with a plan. It starts with a spark.

Most people think intuition is some mystical force—like a lightning bolt of insight that strikes out of nowhere.

But intuition is more like a whisper.

A series of quiet nudges and sparks.

A trail of breadcrumbs leading you toward what feels right.

The problem?

Most of us are too distracted to notice them.

Instead, we try to “figure it out” with logic.

We analyze, overthink, and stress about making the right decision.

But logic alone can’t always lead you to a meaningful life.

That’s because your intuition isn’t a formula—it’s a feeling.

The challenge is learning how to hear it.

Your Intuition Speaks in Whispers, Not Shouts

Think about a time when you just knew something without being able to explain why.

Maybe it was the feeling that a job wasn’t right for you.

The spark of excitement when you stumbled across a new activity.

A gut instinct telling you to take a chance.

These moments aren’t random. They’re clues.

Your intuition doesn’t give you the whole roadmap. It just drops breadcrumbs—small insights, moments of curiosity, and things that make you pause and pay attention.

Most ignore these nudges because they seem insignificant.

But when you start to follow them, you realize they’ve been pointing you somewhere all along.

Acting on the Sparks

You don’t need to make one giant leap to create your BIG LIFE.

You just need to act on the sparks.

⚡️ Notice what energises you

Pay attention to what lights you up—even if it seems small.

What conversations make you lean in?

What activities make time disappear?

⚡️ Listen to your gut feelings

If something feels off, it probably is.

If something excites you, explore it—even if it doesn’t seem logical yet.

⚡️ Act on curiosity

Intuition often shows up as curiosity.

A book you feel drawn to.

A random topic that fascinates you.

A skill you want to try.

These aren’t distractions—they’re directions.

⚡️ Reflect on past sparks

Looking back, what decisions, experiences, or gut feelings led to good things in your life?

What patterns do you see?

Each spark leads to the next. And over time, they form a path.

The Life-Changing Power of Small Steps

A lot of people stay stuck because they’re waiting for absolute certainty before they act.

But certainty comes after you take the step, not before.

When I look back at my own journey, figuring out my path all started with one simple idea:

Follow Your Curiosity

I was curious about meditation.

So in 2009 I went to the London Buddhist Centre to try it out.

I loved it and went back again.

Then I did something wild and signed up for a 10-day Vipassana retreat.

My friend said it was life-changing, and even though I’d only meditated twice before, I trusted the nudge.

A few months later, in January 2010, I was meditating for 10 hours a day, for 10 days straight in complete silence.

It completely transformed my life.

I started meditating daily and began taking ownership of my life.

Soon after, I landed a dream job creating a TV pilot for Headspace.

In 2013 I took an 8-week course to deepen my practice, and in 2014, I became a qualified meditation teacher.

Fast forward to 2020:

• I started teaching meditation live on social media

• I launched a blog on meditation

• I created an online beginner’s course and made my first $$$ online

Though I don’t teach anymore, meditation remains a core part of my life and my business—Big Life Experiment.

And it all started with that one simple breadcrumb: curiosity.

Trust the Process (Even When It Feels Uncertain)

Your logical brain will want to resist this. It will say:

— But how does this lead to a career?

— What if this is a waste of time?

— I need a clear plan before I start.

That’s THE PRESCRIBED LIFE talking—the belief that every step must be practical, planned, and “make sense.”

But the truth is, your BIG LIFE isn’t built in a straight line.

It’s built through exploration, trial and error, and trust.

You won’t always know where the breadcrumbs are leading.

But if you follow them, they will take you somewhere meaningful.

What Breadcrumbs Are in Front of You Right Now?

If you feel stuck, you don’t need to overhaul your entire life overnight.

You just need to notice the next breadcrumb.

Ask yourself:

What am I curious about right now?

What’s something I’ve always wanted to try?

What would I do if I wasn’t worried about being “practical”?

Your intution is waiting for you.

All you have to do is listen.

Follow the next step.

Not because you have to figure it all out.

But because that’s how you find your way forward.
